VIRIAL, INC. provides software and consulting servises to organizations that develop, utilize, and calibrate measurement equipment for radiation thermometry, radiometry, photometry, optical instrumentation, radiation heat transfer, and adjacent areas. Virial, Inc. is the creator of STEEP3 code intended for numerical modeling of radiation parameters of blackbody radiation sources. STEEP3 became de facto standard in calculations of the effective emissivity of blackbodies for calibration laboratories and remote sensing applications. This program is based on the proprietary Monte Calo algorithm and used in such world metrological centers as NIST (USA), NPL (UK), PTB (Germany), NRC (Canada), AIST (Japan), BNM-INM (France), NMI (Netherlands), VNIIOFI (Russia), KRISS (South Korea), BSMI (Taiwan), etc. We have STEEP3 customers in NASA, Space Dynamics Laboratory (Logan, UT), Space Science and Engineering Center (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Dept.
